#IrelandOn6thSt Ireland is set to rule again at SXSW bringing Innovation, Creativity and Talent to the core of our presence in Austin next month.
In 2015 we had a strong presence at SXSW with our team hosting two fun-filled breakfasts at BD Rileys pub on 6th street, a panel discussion on scaling internationally and we even had our Prime Minister (An Taoiseach Enda Kenny) make an appearance.
So what's in store for 2016?
This year we are stepping it up a notch and working with lots of partners to deliver a strong Irish voice and presence at SXSW.
1. INNOVATION
In 2015 the Global Innovation Index ranked Ireland as one of the most innovative countries in the world. Our innovative approach leads to exciting collaborations between all representative bodies of Irish music, film, start-ups, indigenious companies and international companies, building a strong Team Ireland initative for SXSW 2016.
2. CREATIVITY
IDA Ireland and Culture Ireland are delighted to bring world famous Irish street performance company, MACNAS, to SXSW on Saturday 12th of March. Expect to witness a pop-up street theatre spectacle, featuring 15ft high characters, music, dance and ambiance: the likes the city of Austin has never seen before! Think Burning Man!! 3. TALENT
IDA's Emerging business team will be on the ground in Austin to tell you all about the amazing talent that is available in Ireland for companies to tap into. The team will be there to tell you how companies like Zendesk, Nitro, Indeed.com, Squarespace, eSentire, Zalando, Qualtrics, LinkedIn, Amazon, Simplivity, Viagogo, Culture Translate, Slack & many more are all leveraging Ireland's talent to drive international growth. #WhyIreland
